Forty-two researchers and administrators from 8 countries (Australia, Austria, Germany, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, UK and USA) participated in this conference. Two review papers on “Recent advances of modelling city logistics” and “E-commerce and city logistics were presented. As well, 21 research papers on city logistics and urban freight transport were presented during the conference. They focused on modelling, evaluation and planning city logistics schemes including co-operative freight transport systems, new underground freight transport systems, application of advanced information systems.
